2017 WAMS Conference

2017 WAMS Conference

RSE to host the biggest Macroeconomics Workshop in Australia.

The RSE is proud to sponsor and host the 2017 edition of the Workshop of the Australasian Macroeconomics Society (August 17-19). This workshop has a long history, beginning with the first Australasian Macroeconomics Workshop (AMW) in 1996. In 2014, the AMW joined forces with the Workshop on Macroeconomic Dynamics (which grew in 2006 out of the ANU), to form what is the WAMS today. WAMS is an annual activity of the registered not-for-profit Australasian Macroeconomics Society.

There will be a series of mini-course, workshops and a policy discussion lunch engaging with leaders from the Australian public sector. WAMS will again be partnering with the UCSB Laboratory of Aggregate Economics and Finance (directed by Nobel laureate Finn Kydland and Peter Rupert).

Invited speakers.

  • Stephen D. Williamson (St Louis Fed)
  • John Rust (Georgetown)
  • Greg Kaplan (Chicago)
  • Mariacristina De Nardi (Chicago Fed)
  • Marco Bassetto (Chicago Fed)
