The Australasian Trade Workshop is an annual conference of trade economists in Australasia that is hosted by a different university in the region each year, co-ordinated by Martin Richardson and Frank Stähler.

Next meeting

After a very successful 14th annual meeting at RMIT in March 2019, we are pleased to confirm that ATW15 2020 will be hosted by the Research School of Economics, here at the ANU in Canberra, on 21st and 22nd March, 2020.  Keynote speakers will be Giovanni Maggi from Yale and Hylke Vandenbussche from Leuven.

Conference participants are expected to serve as discussants at the workshop. There is no registration fee, but unfortunately we are unable to offer financial assistance to participants.  Upon acceptance, participants will be asked to book their travel and accommodation independently.

Traveling From Canberra Airport to the CBD or ANU

Taxi: To catch a taxi from Canberra Airport, use the taxi rank where the clearly marked cars are parked and ready for dispatch. A taxi to the CBD/ANU will take approximately 10-20min at a cost of $25-$40

Uber:  Is available from the Canberra airport.

Workshop Location and travelling within Canberra

The workshop will take place in the HW Arndt Building #25A Kingsley Street, Australian National University. ANU is located in Acton on the edge of the Canberra CBD. It is a short 10-20min walk from most areas of the CBD.
