ANU is hosting the first Southern Hemisphere Econometric Society summer school and conference in DSE. The theme of this year’s summer school and conference is ‘Methodology and applications of dynamic structural models with strategic interactions’.

The focus of the event is to provide PhD students with tools and hands-on computational instruction in applied microeconometrics, with an emphasis on closely integrating economic and econometric theory in empirical work.

Participants will listen to guest speakers from Australia and around the world share their current research projects in the econometrics space. The curriculum includes single agent, lifecycle models, equilibrium models and dynamic games, with applications in various fields, including industrial organisation as the focal theme. HDR students and faculty from CBE are welcome to participate in the DSE conference and attend lectures free of charge.
